Garlic Butter Chicken

Ingredients

Active dry yeast: 2 ¼ tsp
Sugar: 1 tsp
Warm water: ¾ cup
Italian seasoning (or oregano + thyme): 1 tsp
Olive oil: 2 tbsp
Unsalted butter: 4 tbsp

Juicy, tender chicken simmered in a rich garlic butter sauce — perfect for a quick, flavorful dinner in under 30 minutes.

🔪 Instructions:

1. Prep the chicken:

  • Pat chicken dry with a paper towel.

  • Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.

2. Sear the chicken:

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add chicken and sear 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and almost cooked through.

  • Remove chicken and set aside.

3. Make the garlic butter sauce:

  • In the same pan, reduce heat to medium-low.

  • Add butter and let it melt.

  • Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute (don’t burn it!).

  • Pour in chicken broth (and lemon juice, if using). Simmer for 2–3 minutes.

4. Finish cooking:

  • Return chicken to the pan.

  • Spoon sauce over chicken.

  • Cover and cook for another 5–8 minutes on low heat until chicken is fully cooked (internal temp: 165°F / 75°C).

5. Garnish and serve:

  • Sprinkle with chopped parsley.

  • Serve hot with mashed potatoes, rice, or buttered noodles.
